The Invisalign^® system is an innovative treatment system to help patients straighten their teeth and correct issues with their bite using transparent plastic aligners.

The aligners are also custom-fitted to your teeth using advanced imaging technology. Using 3D intraoral scans, your dentist can map out your treatment plan from start to finish, and you can see how your smile will look after treatment.

Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign^® is very convenient, because you can remove them anytime.

You will receive a set of aligners, one for each stage of the treatment. You will need to wear each aligner for 20-22 hours a day for about two weeks to experience optimal results.

Throughout your treatment, you will attend visits every 4 weeks with your dentist so they can monitor your progress.

Will Invisalign^® be uncomfortable to wear?

Like all orthodontic treatments, Invisalign^® aligners can leave you feeling sore because they are applying pressure on your teeth. However, they are still more comfortable than traditional metal braces, where the metal edges can rub and press against the soft tissue in your mouth.

Invisalign^® aligners are made from plastic, which minimises irritation and allows you to adjust to the feeling of having them much quicker.

Can I eat or drink when wearing Invisalign^® aligners?

Your aligners can be removed before eating or drinking so you won’t experience any limitations to your diet.

Do not consume any food that requires chewing while wearing your aligners, as the chewing forces may damage or crack the aligners. Also, avoid hot drinks like coffee or tea while wearing your aligners as the intense heat may cause them to warp. We recommend only drinking water while wearing your aligners to avoid staining or damaging them.
